About AvielinReviews
We review newly released games honestly and without hype — writing about games we've actually played, not marketing copy dressed up as an opinion.
01 How we review
Every game gets a single score out of ten reflecting the whole experience — not an average of category scores, but our honest read on whether it's worth your time and money. A few ground rules keep that number meaningful:
- ✓ We finish games (or reach a natural stopping point) before we score them.
- ✓ Every score reflects our own playtime — never a press release or a trailer.
- ✓ We disclose when a copy was provided for review. It never buys a score.
- ✕ We don't run ads, and no one can pay for coverage or a higher number.
- ✕ We don't publish day-one takes on unfinished or review-locked builds.
02 The scale
Here's what each range means in practice:
03 Get in touch
Got a tip, a review request, or a press key to send over? Reach out directly — we read everything ourselves.
Spot a factual error in a review — a wrong price, a patched bug, a release date that moved? Tell us. We fix it and add a visible correction note; we don't quietly edit the record.
